Not sure what Fishing Guides in Ireland are required to do, but while my son and I were fishing with Brian Russell, we felt he went beyond the “call of duty” by performing the following: Made lodging reservations for us, was able to get a better price for us at a Deluxe B&B, met with us prior to the fishing trips to review fishing plans, transported us, on a daily basis, to our fishing destination, at his expense, acquired all licenses and permits that were necessary, took us to a variety of streams and rivers, to insure we were successful …some were hours away from our B&B, provided us with leaders and flies, and even gave me several dozen extra flies to try when I got back to PA., provided me with a brand new pair of waders when mine began to leak, and…was always available to assist us in changing flies, getting un-tangled and netting fish. My son and I had an excellent fishing experience while in Ireland, Thanks to Brian Russell

Hi Brian. Just got home...really tired, and will have a hard time getting caught-up.  Thanks, so much for showing me such a wounderful time while we were in Ireland.  That was a trip of a lifetime, and we will always remember your kindness.

Brian, this was the first trip we had made to Northern Ireland and our afternoon with you in the Bann was the highlight of too short a visit.  We may have lost count of our fish that afternoon but we did not forget your advice using weighted nymphs. Alec is now pulling brownies out of pools in the Water of Leith, right in the heart of Edinburgh.
Thank you for making the whole thing simple so we could concentrate on fishing rather than faffing. Expect us back next year, but with both my sons and for longer!
Gerry
Great days Brian, thanks for the insight into nymphing and the countless trout it brought me. Thanks.
